À PROPOS

Angiefactory is my company—Angie Russo’s little artistic factory.

As a freelance artist in the film and entertainment industry, I am an actress, voice artist, motion capture performer, and unconventional stuntwoman, based in Montreal, QC, Canada.

This space is the perfect place to share my story and introduce myself to my visitors. Here, you can explore my journey, experiences, and passion for entertainment in all its forms.

Angie Russo: Actrice en capture de mouvement, cascadeuse, comédienne et voix spécialisée en doublage et en jeu vidéo.

IN BRIEF

My Approach to the Craft

For me, playing a role goes far beyond simply lending my voice or reciting lines of dialogue.
It’s about true immersion—a deep connection with the character, their story, and their emotions.
Each performance is an encounter, a fusion of what the character has to offer and what I can bring to them through my own experiences and personal journey.

Voice dubbing and acting are demanding arts, each requiring distinct techniques.
Behind every performance lies a deep understanding of the character and a constant pursuit of authenticity—every nuance matters.
There is always a part of me in every role I have portrayed. Being an actress doesn’t mean ceasing to exist as myself—otherwise, it would be nothing but a lie! That’s why there is a link between my character Danaan Rhiannon, the schoolgirl from the film Memory of Power, and Ank, the bomb expert from the video game Star Wars Outlaws!

My Work Philosophy

I approach each project with dedication and discipline, but also with great enthusiasm and curiosity.
Every role is a challenge—an opportunity to learn and grow as a performer.
This profession has taught me the importance of adaptability and teamwork: whether it’s a video game, a film, or a voice project, these are above all collective creations, where every detail contributes to telling a compelling story.

What drives me is knowing that my performance—whether on-screen or in voice—can transport, move, or leave an impact on someone. The thought that players and audiences might feel something through my interpretation is an incredible source of fulfillment.

But beyond the craft itself, I also believe in passion and perseverance. You need a great deal of determination to work in this industry and make it your profession.
My journey has been far from linear—it has been filled with challenges, sacrifices, and unwavering dedication.

If there’s one message I want to convey through this site, it’s that you must believe in your ability to achieve your dreams and equip yourself with the tools to make them happen.
What makes you different is what will make you stand out. If you learn to embrace it, anything is possible.

Beyond the Studio, the Set, and the Volume?

When I’m not in a studio or on set, I dedicate time to other passions that fuel me personally—fitness training, Pilates, traveling, and discovering new experiences.
Exploring new horizons, meeting inspiring people, and immersing myself in different cultures all enrich my artistic perspective.

Anecdote

There was an unexpected common thread between three of my projects in 2023.

That year, a film in which I performed as an actress and stuntwoman, portraying a vampire in Ashes and Blood by Antonio Da Silva, was winning an astonishing number of awards at film festivals—325 awards in total!

On the very day I learned about this impressive milestone, I was called in to record a voice dubbing session—this time as Wingnut, the bat, in the animated film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem by Seth Rogen (VFQ version).

But the wildest part? At that very moment, I was still working on a motion capture performance for a video game—Star Wars Outlaws. At the time, I couldn’t reveal anything about the project, but I was performing the role of Ank, the bomb expert. A member of the Chadra-Fan species, she was—you guessed it—also a bat!

By the end of the year, I had come to a conclusion: my spirit animal in 2023 was definitely the bat!
